Apple seeds second iOS 8.4.1 beta to developers
While iOS 9‘s beta is going strong, both publicly and for developers, another variant of the mobile platform is also currently in beta testing.
Apple initially seeded the first beta for iOS 8.4.1 on July 14, and now it’s time for the second to be released. This release is a month after Apple launched iOS 8.4 to the public, which featured the launch of Apple Music and Beats 1 radio. This beta release is build 12H318, and it’s available on iOS devices running the first iOS 8.4.1 beta via an over the air (OTA) update.
This particular beta release probably won’t reveal any big changes, as the first beta was primarily meant for bug fixes and performance updates behind-the-scenes. However, if anything is discovered, we’ll update this post accordingly.
iOS 8.4.1 beta is compatible with the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus
- iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad 2, iPad (third-generation), iPad (fourth-generation), iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display
- iPod touch 5G
