Watch Out Temu and Shein — Here Comes Amazon
Amazon just launched a service called “Amazon Haul” to compete with discount giants like Temu and Shein. The new Haul store offers everything from fashion and electronics to other home goods. With Haul, Amazon is leveraging its household name to address the issues of product authenticity and safety sometimes associated with discount online retailers. Haul is only available through Amazon’s app or mobile website.
All items on Haul are priced below $20. Shipping is free for orders over $25 and will cost $3.99 for orders under $25. Haul promises shipping times of 1-2 weeks and offers free returns for purchases over $3 up to 15 days after delivery.
Amazon undoubtedly aims to offer a competitive and trustworthy alternative to low-cost platforms like Shein and Temu. Amazon claims they screen all Haul products for safety, authenticity, and regulatory compliance. These promises, paired with Amazon’s robust customer service infrastructure, make Haul a truly formidable offering.
You can access Haul by opening your Amazon mobile app and clicking “Haul” in the top-right corner.
After just a few minutes on Haul, I found some screaming deals. These include an iPhone 16 glass protector for $1.99, a 6-pack of bands for the Apple Watch for $7.99, an iPhone 16 case for $3.99, and a 5-pack of microfiber cloths for $2.99. This is insane! We can’t yet vouch for the quality of the products or the consistent delivery times, but there sure seem to be some great deals on Haul.
Haul’s competitor, Shein, focuses primarily on apparel. Temu, on the other hand, has a bit of everything. So does Haul. So, whether you’re a Temu and Shein shopper or not, Haul is worth a look. It seems like Amazon is willing to bet customers will accept longer shipping times for lower prices. While many of us turn to Amazon in a pinch, given its two-day delivery, it looks like Haul can be a massive cost-saver with a little bit of planning. Check it out!
