Fashion brands up the smartwatch game with designer Android Wear watch faces
Already tired of your smartwatch’s limited array of customisation options? Yeah, us too.
Well, Google has partnered with a number of fashion brands to bring a new mix of designer Android Wear watch faces to the mix and bolster those update options slightly.
Letting you jazz up your Android-powered wrist wear, be it Motorola, LG, Fossil or Huawei, the Big-G has joined forces with nine iconic brands to let you add a bit of class to the nerdiest bit of tech you own.
Designer fashion brand Ted Baker is hitting the Android Wear efforts strong, with 10 sophisticated designs that bear its logo.
These are backed up by more specialist options, including sport-centric options from Y-3 and Asics, birthstone-based designs from Melissa Joy Manning, and pop art-themed designs from Nicole Miller.
Further designers jumping on the Android Wear bandwagon include Vivienne Tam, Mango, Zoe Jordan and Harajuku Kawaii.
The new designs join existing watch face options from the likes of Porsche, Kevin Tong and Geox.
Available to download today (December 15) for all Android handset-rocking smartwatch owners, those of you pairing your Android Wear watch with an iPhone will need to wait a little while longer for the new faces.
